Full Switchboard
Modernisation
Keilor East Residence — 2024
The Challenge
A homeowner in Keilor East contacted us after their old ceramic fuse board tripped repeatedly during summer. The original board dated back to the 1970s and had no safety switches — a serious compliance and safety risk. The property also needed capacity for a newly installed ducted air conditioning system and a planned EV charger.
Our Approach
We replaced the original board with a modern consumer mains panel, installing a full suite of circuit breakers and residual current devices across all circuits. We ran a new mains cable from the meter, upgraded the earthing system, and added two dedicated high-draw circuits for the air conditioning and EV charger — all within a single day.
The Outcome
The property is now fully compliant with current Australian standards. The homeowner has peace of mind knowing their family is protected by modern safety switching, and the infrastructure is in place for the EV charger installation booked for the following month.
20-Point Safety
Inspection
Investment Property, Sunbury — 2024
The Challenge
A landlord in Sunbury reached out ahead of a new tenancy, wanting to confirm the property met current electrical safety requirements. The house was built in the late 1980s and had never undergone a formal inspection. Several previous tenants had reported flickering lights and intermittent power issues in the rear of the property.
Our Approach
We carried out our full 20-point residential safety inspection — testing every circuit breaker, safety switch, power point, light fitting, and smoke detector throughout the property. Using specialised test equipment we identified two power points in the rear bedrooms with faulty earthing, a downlight in the kitchen installed without adequate clearance from insulation, and a safety switch that was failing to trip within the required response time.
The Outcome
All identified faults were rectified on the same visit. The landlord received a written compliance report suitable for their records and insurance provider. The property was cleared for occupancy the same day, and the tenant moved in the following week without issue.

Commercial Fit-Out &
Distribution Board
Warehouse, Tottenham — 2023
The Challenge
A logistics company in Tottenham was fit-ting out a newly leased warehouse and needed a complete electrical installation from scratch. The scope included a three-phase distribution board, heavy-duty power circuits for machinery, LED high-bay lighting throughout, emergency exit lighting, and data and comms cabling across the office area.
Our Approach
We worked alongside the builder through the fit-out to complete the full installation in stages. The distribution board was sized to the client's current requirements with room to expand, and all circuits were labelled and documented. High-bay LED lighting reduced the client's projected energy costs by over 40% compared to the existing fluorescent system in their previous tenancy. All work was inspected and certified on completion.
The Outcome
The warehouse was operational on schedule. The client has since engaged us for two additional sites, and we continue to provide ongoing maintenance and emergency support for all three locations. A strong working relationship built on getting the first job done right.
